About the Role
Our client is recruiting an experienced and dynamic General Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a premier hospitality establishment in Lagos, Nigeria. The role is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and alignment with the brand’s vision of excellence, culture, and community engagement.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned hospitality professional with proven success in managing multi-outlet operations, leading diverse teams, and driving profitability in the restaurant and bar industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
-
Oversee all aspects of restaurant, café, and bar operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and customer satisfaction.

Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions promptly.
2. Team Leadership & Human Resource Development
-
Recruit, train, and lead high-performing teams.

Set clear performance goals and implement staff development programs.
-
Foster a positive, service-driven workplace culture.
3. Financial & Administrative Management
-
Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L statements.

Achieve revenue targets while controlling costs.

Oversee procurement, supplier management, and stock control.
-
Provide timely management reports.
4. Guest Experience & Brand Management
-
Ensure delivery of exceptional guest experiences in line with brand standards.

Monitor guest feedback and address concerns proactively.

Collaborate with marketing teams to plan promotions and events.
5. Business Growth & Strategic Development
-
Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth.

Introduce innovative service concepts and menu offerings.

Identify opportunities such as private events and catering.
Qualifications & Experience
-
5–10 years’ senior management experience in the hospitality industry.
-
Proven leadership in managing restaurants, cafés, or bar operations.
-
Strong knowledge of hospitality standards, compliance, and financial controls.
-
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
-
Proficiency in POS systems and reporting tools.
-
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field is an advantage.

Competitive salary: Ksh 190,000 – 250,000 (commensurate with experience)
