ROLES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creating a schedule on various aspects of each property and company that enlighten customers and promote brand-focused messages.
  • Responding to posts, likes and shares, tagging on properties or companies where necessary.
  • Following up on requests and ensuring that they have been received for the purpose of making a sale.
  • Responding to requests online or directly to the guests via the email address provided.
  • Postings on regular basis for all properties on all the social media platforms
  • Creating posts that link to special offers, packages, and websites.
  • Assisting in brand design experience through design (graphics, photography, videos and social media)
  • Promoting properties and companies over social media in a way that is consistent with the organisation’s brand and social media strategy.
  • Planning digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO, e-mail, social media and display advertising.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from across the marketing department to ensure the company’s brand is consistent.
  • Overseeing the social media strategy for the company ensuring it aligns with its brand.
  • Developing content and keeping an eye on social media trends.
  • Engaging with customers through the use of social media.
  • Analysing customer expectations according to past social media activity
  • Keeping up to date with advances in social media technology and the latest social media platforms.
  • Excellent knowledge in the use of social media marketing tools such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok etc
  • Maximizing followers on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Tiktok etc
  • Ensuring that approaches to social media are relevant and appropriate for each medium.
  • Monitoring social media for customer comments both positive and negative.
  • Building reporting frameworks to evaluate return on investment on the various platforms.
  • Engaging with customers to resolve customer service issues and or create positive opportunities.
  • Analysing social media insights to guide future social media campaigns.
  • Developing, and editing a content calendar across all platforms ensuring a constant supply of relevant content.
  • Working with the product team to increase the impact on their campaigns.
  • Reporting on social media mentions of the brand internally providing helpful feedback to Product, Marketing and Reservations teams.
  • Planning and delivery of the company’s CSR strategies through social media.
  • Establishing relationships with social media influencers to develop a strong network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Marketing or Business Management
  • Previous experience and successful track record as a social media manager for similar organizations in the Tourism Industry.
  • Experience with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, Digital Ad based, Web, and E-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of content management systems.
  • Knowledge and passion are required in the Tourism Industry.
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing, search engine optimization and how social media impacts this.
  • Ability to optimize content strategically to drive results
  • Strong, consistent and professional communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.
  • Attention to detail.
