Job Description

Our client is an established engineering firm that deals with Electrical, Mechanical & Instrumentation/ Control disciplines. They  seek to hire a Sales Engineer. As a Sales Engineer you will be responsible for preparing and delivering technical presentations of products or services to customers and prospective customers, taking responsibility for all aspects of the sales, tender and contract process from initiation, submission and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and source for new products/services that are line with the company competencies
Reviewing technical design and verification of customer specifications.
Sourcing and Coordination with international and local suppliers for project equipment availability.
Identifying project opportunities and collaborating with the team to drive and deliver successful proposals.
Preparation and tailoring of capability and technical documentation to be used in the tender processes, RFQs and RFPs as per the laid down procurement processes and procedures to ensure responsiveness.
Create and develop relationships with the key role players– i.e. Consultants, Contractors, Distributors, End users & Engineers.
Ensure regular customer visitation, projects /quotes followed up.
Participating in implementation of projects.
Attendance trade shows / exhibitions where required.

Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering field is preferred or a Diploma with vast experience.
At least 5 years’ experience.
Have excellent and strong relationships that can be leveraged to generate business.
Experience in preparing and submitting RFQs, RFPs and Tenders especially for public sector.
Good sales / presentation skills.
Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
Results orientated.
Must be willing to travel (local)

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to acquire new clients, drive revenue growth
through upselling and cross-selling, ensure customer retention, and contribute to the overall success
of our team and business. We are looking for someone who is seasoned, hardworking, and highly
motivated to achieve outstanding results.
