Job Summary:

Our client is seeking to hire a highly motivated Salesperson to join their dynamic sales team. The Salesperson will work alongside two other team members and report to the Sales Manager. The primary responsibility of the Salesperson is to identify and acquire new leads, establish contact with potential Kenyan importers interested in importing goods from around the world or specifically from Egypt, and successfully close deals with them. The Salesperson will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and achieving the annual sales targets set by the company.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new leads, primarily focusing on Kenyan importers interested in sourcing products for importation.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Contact leads through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings, to initiate business relationships and present our company’s services.
  • Build strong rapport and maintain regular communication with potential clients to understand their needs, address their concerns, and provide suitable solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager and team members to develop effective sales strategies, presentations, and proposals tailored to meet client requirements.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting sales targets.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the Sales Manager.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Logistics and Customer Support, to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the import/export industry or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated and target-oriented with a drive to achieve sales goals.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the Kenyan import market and understanding of import regulations and procedures is a plus.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Possession of a car or reliable means of transportation is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field is desirable.
  • Compensation:
  • The Salesperson will receive a competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary along with a commission structure tied to achieving sales targets. The exact details of the compensation package will be discussed during the interview process.
